PriceSlicer privacy policy

PriceSlicer is operated by Nine Factorial LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address and encrypted password, used to create and authenticate your account.
Location
Your device location (if you grant permission). Used to identify nearby grocery stores for price comparison. We store your selected stores and general area to power the optimizer.
Shopping lists
The grocery items you add to your lists. Stored to your account so the optimizer can find prices across your nearby stores.
Receipt images
Photos of grocery receipts you choose to scan. Stored in your account so you can review and delete them. We send these images to OpenAI for automated price extraction — see Third parties below.
Crash and error data
Anonymous crash reports and error logs collected via Sentry. Includes device type, OS version, and app state at time of crash. Does not include your personal information or receipt images.
How we use your data
- To build and display your optimized shopping plan
- To match scanned receipt prices to products in our catalog
- To show you your scan history
- To fix crashes and improve app stability
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third parties
OpenAI — Receipt images are transmitted to OpenAI’s API for price and item extraction. OpenAI processes this data under their API data usage policy. Images are not used to train OpenAI models under their current API terms.
Supabase — Our database and file storage provider. Your account data, shopping lists, and receipt images are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
Sentry — Crash reporting. Receives anonymous error data only.
Data retention
Receipt images are kept until you delete them. You can delete individual receipts from the Receipts screen in the app. Shopping lists are kept while your account is active. You can request full account deletion by emailing us.
Your rights
- Delete any receipt image directly in the app
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing ninefactorial@ninefactorial.com
- Withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings (the optimizer will not work without it)
